Alternative
Gift Project
For the first
time, the Great Peninsula Conservancy has been invited by
Cedars Unitarian Universalist Church on Bainbridge Island
to participate in their fifth annual Alternative Gift Project,
a project that seeks to channel the generous spirit of giving
to benefit nonprofit organizations. If you're looking for
a meaningful gift to give a friend or relative this year
and you know they don't need any more stuff, support our
work with one of the following gifts from the Alternative
Gift Project:
- $25 Buys a compass, clipboard, flagging tape, and boundary
stakes for a Stewardship Kit used by one of the Great
Peninsula Conservancy’s volunteer Land Stewards
to monitor the critical fish and wildlife habitat at Cowling
Creek.
- $50 Buys protection for one foot of choice spawning
gravel in Chico Creek, a habitat that supports 35,000
returning salmon each year.
